Who may qualify for this scholarship?
Recipients are selected by the Office of Scholarship and Financial Aid at Fayetteville State University (FSU). The Office of Scholarship and Financial Aid Committee applies the following criteria when selecting recipients.
- Students must be enrolled at FSU and in good standing.
- The scholarship is available to incoming freshmen graduating from high schools in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia.
- Current FSU undergraduate students may also qualify.
- Students must have a minimum 2.5 GPA.
Students from the DMV
Preference may be given to students from the following locations:
- Washington, DC
- Maryland: Prince George's County, Montgomery County, and Charles County
- Virginia: Alexandria, Arlington County, Fairfax, Fairfax County, and Prince William County

Awards are renewable each year for eligible full-time students. Award amounts may vary each year based on financial need.
